Showtime Oil
SHOWTIME
An oil for creative expression, play, performance, and having the courage to wholeheartedly enjoy the things that make you feel alive. Worked to bring back excitement, creativity, hobbies, spontaneous fun, and the desire to sing, dance, act, make, perform, or create simply because you love doing it.
Inspired by a childhood spent singing into a microphone at the top of my lungs, entering talent shows, and wanting to perform before I was ever old enough to join an actual theater program—and by a grandfather who never taught me to make myself smaller or quieter, but instead nourished that part of me. 🥲
This isn’t about becoming famous, being the best, or turning your creativity into something profitable. It’s about remembering what it felt like to want the stage before you ever cared who was watching.
Use it when adulthood has made life feel like nothing but responsibilities, when you’ve abandoned hobbies because there “isn’t enough time,” when you’ve become overly conscious of how you’re perceived, or when creativity has started feeling like work. Worked to encourage playfulness, artistic inspiration, self-expression, visibility, spontaneity, and the confidence to take up space doing something you genuinely enjoy.
Sing badly. Audition anyway. Make something nobody buys. Put on an outfit that’s “too much”. Dance around the house. Be dramatic. Put on the fucking show.
The world doesn’t always need an audience. Sometimes you just need a stage.
